Release notes

This CD was originally released in the UK and quickly replaced by Nimbus discs. Some copies of this release were also distributed in Germany, probably in the same time when the CD was released in the UK. The entry for the UK release of this CD is here.

The exported release is exactly the same as the UK CD release. There are no visible differences in the CD neither booklet, except the small distribution sticker applied on the back of the jewel case. The copies that were send to German distributor have a small sticker with a distribution number and a price code on it. The sticker on this release is 610 392-222, where 610 392 is the RCA catalogue number for a disc distributed in German territory. The sticker also contains a price code - 222, which represents the full retail price for a one CD.

Distribution in Germany was held by ARIS. ARIS-Ariola/RCA Import-Service in Gutersloh was the main importer/distributor of discs that were not properly issued (as well as out of print CDs) in Germany. Because "A Trick of the Tail" CD by Virgin/Charisma label (CDSCD 4001) was never properly released in the German territory, ARIS imports were sourced from the UK manufacturers.

Presented release must have been imported in a very short period of time and with a small quantities. I also believe that Nimbus CDs replace this issue. I have only seen a few copies of this release, which carry ARIS distribution sticker. Not many survived. In other words, this CD is hard to find.

This CD was also on sale with different sticker number. See separate entry.
