Release notes

The CD has been manufactured in Canada, in 1991. This is most likely re-pressing for Canadian market. The disc is manufactured by Cinram plant in Canada.

The catalogue number of this release is CD 80116. The CD was released under Atlantic / WEA Music of Canada label and distributed across Canada via WEA Music of Canada (Warner Communications) distribution channel.

The disc has silver label and a black text. Two outer rings, red and black and Atlantic logo, are the same as in American CD releases. Basically, Canadian CDs albeit released in Canada, has copied American (Atlantic) label design and were distributed by Warner Communication.

Beneath Atlantic logo a catlogue number is printed in bold font. Please note that prefix "CD" is part of the catalogue number. As far as I can say all Canadian CDs of Genesis albums has this prefix in the catalogue numbers.

There is no country of manufacture present on the label. The matrix numbers are #910828DD CD-80116 MFG BY CINRAM, which means the CD has been manufactured from the glass mastered on 28th of August, 1991.

The CD came with ribbed edges jewel case with long bar stoppers that are placed closer to corners. This is typical jewel case packaging that has been used, by Cinram plant, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I also have seen this copies being sold with different packaging (two bullet stoppers).

artwork

Genesis CD-80116 glossy artwork

Artwork does not carry any manufacturer name. The catalogue number "CD 80116" is printed in the top right corner in yellow colour, on the last page booklet. Rear sleeve does have barcode, which is exactly the same as in American CD releases. It has to be noted that artwork is printed on sort of glossy/photo paper. This is very unique and looks very stylish. Inserts used by Cinram plant, in Canada were made with a very high quality material. The Canadian Cinram CDs are, in my opinion, one of the top quality pressings. I can only compare the quality of their CDs to Japanese pressings.

I would say this copy is fairly easy to locate in Canada and does not cost the earth.Because the CD was released and distributed in Canada there are very little chances to find this copy elsewhere.
