Release notes

This is variant B and most likely the second pressing CD of And Then There Were Three manufactured by PDO plant in Blackburn, Lancashire, UK.

The catalogue number of this CD issue is CDSCD 4010. The CD was released under Charisma / Virgin label and distributed across the UK via Virgin Records LTD. distribution channel. This CD was also distributed abroad via different distributor.

Again, disc with a pale blue label. Only Charisma logo is present on the label, there is no Virgin logo on disc. Compact Disc logo is in large. Made in U.K. is printed on the label. Previous variant did not have this print. The matrix numbers are 800 059-2 04 # and these are the same as on disc from variant A entry.

There is no barcode and no "Printed in West Germany" present on rear insert, which means the rear sleeves must have been printed entirely in the UK.

The disc remain exactly the same as the one from variant A entry, but has an additional "Made in U.K." print on label and lacks "Printed in West Germany". I think this CD might have been manufactured for different markets. I found this CD in the UK, but I also have seen copies on sale from Germany. So presumably, discs with "Made in U.K." on the label were made for export and discs without "Made in U.K" for domestic sale, but I can be wrong.

Unfortunately, my copy does not have the original jewel case but a replacement. Originally, the CD has been issued with ribbed-sided jewel case with two bullet/dot stoppers.

The release year of this variation is rather unknown, but I will be speculate the disc is from very late 1987 and early 1988.

In terms of rarity, I would say this copy is moderate hard to find, but there are still some copies around.

There is also another variation of this CD. For more information, please see variant C entry.
