Release notes

The CD single was released in the UK to support sale of ...But Seriously, the videos. It's well known that in the first weeks the single was given free by Woolworths, to every purchased copy of ...But Seriously, the videos. This was a limited offer and later ...But Seriously, the videos tapes where sold without this single.

The single contain only one track Doesn't Anybody Stay Together Anymore that was recorded live in Berlin during ...But Seriously tour in 1990. The duration of the track is approximately 6:20.

Obviously, this is a promotional CD single that have never been on sale. The disc does not have a record companies logo nor catalogue number on it. There is a sticker on the front of the jewel case mentioning that this is Limited Edition Woolworths Exclusive CD single.

The matrix numbers of the disc are PCV CD 1 MPO 06 @@. The disc was made in France by MPO factory.

Inserts have printed recording and mixing information. There are no lyrics inside, but an empty space.

The information from inside sleeve says that track was recorded by Phil Collins and Robert Coldy and mixed by Paul Gomersall and Rober Colby. The same print information is present on disc. The disc also states Made in France at 6 o'clock.

Because this CD single was given free to the customers, I also decided to submit in this entry information about the VHS tape ...But Seriously, the videos.

The tape was released by Virgin and distributed by MCEG Virgin Vision Distribution Ltd. The catalogue number of the tape is VVD 1010. The running time of the video is approximately 77 mins, as stated on artwork. The VHS tape of ...But Seriously, the videos was released in 1992 and remain on sale until the late Autumn.

There is very interesting that the top side of the tape packaging has Woolworths Exclusive sticker applied on. I also have seen these tapes without the sticker, so perhaps later on, when the promotion time run out tapes where on sale without this sticker?

Woolworths sticker

This CD, plus the VHS tape, are not hard to find in the UK. They where sold in millions, however, due to obsolescence of the VHS format,  tapes are often recycled these days. It's also a very nice example from Woolworths, a non-existing anymore chain of stores in the UK.

Disc variation

No variation that I know of.
