Release notes

I believe this CD was manufactured a little bit later than the official album release date, but is still qualified as the first pressing CD. The disc was manufactured by JVC factory, in Japan and this is the second run that was send to the United States.

The artwork and label remain the same as in variant A. The only difference, apart of the jewel case, is in the matrix numbers. The disc has the following matrix numbers "81240 2 S4 E1 |". Note there are not dashes in the matrix string and the first letter is "S".

Inserts are "Printed in Japan" and the CD has smooth-sided jewel case with two ball stoppers. Presented copy have also a tiny "T4" embossed on the lower right corner, on the back of the jewel case.

The CD of this release is silver with the two, red and black rings along the disc edge. Atlantic logo appears on the left, while Compact Disc logo is on the right side of the CD. The bottom of the CD has "MADE IN JAPAN" printed along the disc edge. Front insert has "Manufactured by JVC, Japan. Printed in Japan" on the bottom.

In terms of rarity, I would place this CD as "not common and require searching". It's probably the last first pressing before JVC released the second batch (with dashes) CDs for the United States market. As times goes by this CD will be harder to find in my opinion.

Disc variation

There is also a CD variation of this release. The only difference is the matrix numbers. I know about the following CDs:

81240 2 S3 E1 3
81240 2 S4 E1
81240 2 S5 E12
81240 2 S7 E10

Note that the matrix number looks as little bit dodgy. This is because, on occasion, I ask sellers about the matrix numbers and some people have struggle to read the tiny letters. Therefore the matrix numbers may vary, but at last the first letter is provided correctly. These CDs, of course, may have come with different packaging but artwork and the label remain the same.
